In a brief provided by Forepoint I was tasked with creating, conceptualising and marketing a brand of Insect based products for either human or animal consumption.
I approached this brief with the decision to create a brand of confectionary for human consumption. The reason I chose confectionary was due to a gap in the market for insect based confectionary. My approach was to highlight the fact that eating insects is weird in the western world, rather than shying away from it. Using a victorian, circus inspired design aesthetic I created the brand Madame Hoppers Kitchen, along with the supporting materials.
The outcomes went down a treat with the client, and it was an excellent way for me to expand my repertoire, as branding was an area I had never previously explored.
